Proptech in Canada is evolving at an incredible pace. The 2024 Proptech Collective Report lays out a clear picture of where the industry stands today, highlighting the challenges, opportunities, and innovations shaping the future.
One of the biggest takeaways from this year’s report is the shift in founder focus. In a market that has seen economic turbulence, rising costs, and shifting consumer expectations, many proptech startups are prioritizing profitability and sustainability over aggressive growth. The days of endless funding rounds with no clear path to profitability are fading. Instead, proptech leaders are building smarter, leaner businesses that deliver real value.
AI is becoming a transformative force across the real estate and construction industries. The report highlights how AI is being used to:
Proptech isn’t just about creating new companies—it’s about solving real-world problems with technology, efficiency, and better business models. The Canadian proptech ecosystem is doing just that, proving that innovation in real estate isn’t slowing down—it’s evolving.
Scaling a proptech company isn’t just about having a great idea—it’s about execution, industry connections, and the right support system. That’s where REACH Canada comes in. As part of Second Century Ventures and backed by the National Association of REALTORS®, REACH Canada is a powerhouse accelerator designed to help proptech companies scale faster and integrate into the real estate ecosystem.

Bidmii’s mission is clear: to become the de facto rails for home improvement and maintenance transactions. Through REACH Canada, we’ve accelerated our efforts, forged key integrations, and positioned ourselves as a trusted solution for real estate professionals, property managers, and homeowners.
The Canadian proptech industry isn’t just growing—it’s thriving. This year was packed with major events, game-changing collaborations, and industry-defining conversations. Here are some of the biggest highlights from 2024 that helped shape the ecosystem:
The Proptech Collective Vancouver Chapter officially launched this year, and they wasted no time making an impact. Their inaugural event brought together founders, investors, and real estate professionals to discuss the future of proptech in Western Canada. This was a huge step in expanding Proptech Collective’s national presence, creating new opportunities for collaboration across the country.
This year’s Proptech Growth Summit was nothing short of incredible. With 30+ founders and sales leaders in attendance, the event was a masterclass in scaling proptech companies, navigating today’s market challenges, and seizing new opportunities. The level of collaboration and shared insights at this event set the stage for even bigger things to come.
The Blueprint Conference in Las Vegas is the pinnacle of proptech events, bringing together the top minds in the industry. Canada showed up in a big way this year, with strong representation from across the ecosystem. Seeing Canadian proptech leaders making waves at a global level proves that we’re not just playing in this space—we’re shaping its future.
These events—and the conversations that happened at them—are proof that the proptech industry isn’t slowing down. Instead, it’s gaining momentum, fueled by the connections and partnerships that make real innovation possible.
Proptech isn’t built in isolation—it’s driven by collaboration, partnerships, and the people who believe in pushing the industry forward. Over the past year, Bidmii has had the privilege of working alongside some of the best in the business, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without the encouragement, advice, and support of so many industry leaders.
A special thank you to Stephanie Wood, Courtney Cooper, and Rachel Hay-Ching Yuen at Alate Partners. Their work on the Proptech Collective Report has helped shine a light on the incredible companies and people driving innovation across Canada. Without them, this report wouldn’t exist, and the industry wouldn’t have the same level of visibility and insight.
Beyond the report, there are countless individuals across the ecosystem who have played a role in supporting Bidmii’s growth—whether through partnerships, integrations, introductions, or simply being champions of what we’re building.
We want to recognize the founders, investors, and industry professionals who have supported us in one way or another. Some have built integrations with us, some have offered guidance, and others have been constant advocates. We look forward to continuing to work with all of you in 2025 and beyond.
Each of these individuals and companies is helping to build the foundation for a stronger, more connected proptech ecosystem in Canada. The work they’re doing is driving real change, and we’re lucky to be a part of it.
As we move into 2025, one thing is clear: the momentum in Canadian proptech isn’t slowing down. The last year has proven that collaboration, innovation, and execution are what drive this industry forward. The companies and individuals we’ve worked with are solving real problems, building sustainable businesses, and reshaping the way real estate and construction operate.
For Bidmii, the path forward is clear—we are becoming the de facto rails for home improvement and maintenance in the industry. The demand for seamless, transparent, and efficient project management continues to grow, and we are positioning ourselves as the go-to solution for homeowners, property managers, realtors, and contractors alike.
We’ve already built integrations with many of the companies in this ecosystem, and we anticipate even deeper collaboration in the year ahead. For the ones we haven’t? Let’s f*ing go.**
The Proptech Collective Report is more than just a snapshot of the industry—it’s a blueprint for what’s possible when great people work together to solve big problems. As we look to the new year, we’re ready to build, integrate, and expand alongside the founders, investors, and partners who believe in this space as much as we do.
