Serkan - Contractor Spotlight

Serkan is originally from Istanbul, Turkey, and currently resides in Barrie. Growing up, he was always interested in fixing and repairing things. Serkan’s grandfather was a carpenter and his father was a blacksmith, inspiring him to work in the construction industry. He said, “My best childhood memories are the times I spent with them in their shop”. After years of working in the hospitality industry, he decided to pursue his passion and start his own construction business.

Serkan started “2 Dads Construction” with his business associate, Atila. They specialize in home renovations and remodelling, but love to do exterior work, such as decks, patios, and gazebos — perfect for the summertime! Serkan’s favourite part about his job is being able to make a positive change in people’s lives. He loves how gratifying it is to be able to build something concrete that is essential and important for his clients. Serkan said, “Our homes are sacred for all of us, and we get the chance to make it better.”
