Why you should keep projects on platform

We always talk about the reasons we started Bidmii, and it's because we're passionate about protecting homeowners. At its core, Bidmii is founded on integrity and security. We keep our promises and ensure that you are protected; this exactly how we do that:

1. Payment Security: 

We know that it can be frustrating when you pay for a renovation and the contractor disappears with your deposit. To make sure this doesn't happen, we hold your payments in trust until the job is completed. Once you accept a bid, your payment comes to us first. We'll release it once both you and the contractor confirm that everything has been finished successfully.

Bidmii is a free site for contractors. Contractors should not ask you to pay them directly, off-platform. If they do, take this as a huge red flag and let us know immediately. This could mean they will take your money without intent to complete the job. We can’t help you should you start coordinating arrangements off of our platform.

2. On-platform Security: 

When you’re spending your money on a project, you want it done right. Bidmii is a platform that helps to make sure your project goes smoothly from start to finish. We’ve integrated communication features straight onto the platform to ensure you’re well-informed before making a final decision on the contractor, and to provide you a digital record of communication for later reference if needed:

Project description:

be descriptive. Contractors can’t accurately quote unless you provide sufficient details about what you’d like completed.

Q&A:

This is where contractors can ask clarifying questions about your project. Make sure you monitor this regularly for new questions and answer them to the best of your ability. We'll send you alerts when a new question is asked.

Site visit requests:

If you post a big project, chances are the contractor will want to take a look before providing you with a quote. Arranging a site visit doesn’t mean you’re committing to the contractor, so it’s also a great opportunity for you to assess if they’re a good fit for the job or not. The contractor will suggest three days and times for a visit. Choose one, suggest your own, or say no if you don't think they'd be the best fit for the project.

We highly recommend keeping communication on-platform. We can’t help you if you make arrangements and promises that aren’t fulfilled via text message or over the phone. If agreements occur thru Bidmii’s messaging system, our team can provide support.
